BIG RACE DOUBLE FOR JUDDMONTE
Juddmonte's Banstead Manor sires celebrated a big race double
yesterday, when RAINBOW QUEST's son
Millenary revisited his finest hour in the 2000
Gr.1 St Leger with victory in the Gr.2 Doncaster Cup - both wins
coming exactly four years to the day apart.
Millenary fought out a rousing duel with Kasthari (Vettori) and
at the line, the judge was unable to separate them and the result
ws declared a deadheat.
Millenary has been an excellent servant to his owner breeder
Neil Jones who will be hoping that the seven year old's half
brother Let The Lion Roar (Sadler's Wells) can follow in
Millenary's footsteps to win the world's oldest Classic on
Saturday.
In France, Juddmonte's first season sire
DANSILI sired his first Group winner when the
Khalid Abdulla homebred colt Early March
maintained his unbeaten record when winning the Gr.3 Prix la
Rochette.
