APTITUDE YEARLINGS GET OFF TO AN EXCITING START
APTITUDE’s first yearling sold
at the Keeneland September Sale for $375,000 to G. Watts Humphrey,
Jr. The filly, hip 478, is out of Colonial Ally by Pleasant Colony.
The yearling is a half-sister to the GSW Fight for Ally and the SW
and GSP Colonial Glitter. Her third dam is the SW Northern Meteor,
the family of Champion Pleasant Stage.
A colt out of I’s Right was purchased by Buckram Oak Farm for
$220,000. In the select session, Aptitude had a total of 11
yearlings sell for a very profitable average of $120,636.
APTITUDE won the Gr.1 Jockey Club Gold Cup and
placed in both the Gr.1 Kentucky Derby and Belmont
Stakes.
