DEBUT SUCCESS FOR APTITUDE YEARLINGS
Aptitude’s first yearlings sold at the Fasig
Tipton Kentucky July sale.
Six yearlings sold, averaging $96,000 (almost four times his stud
fee of $25,000). They include a colt out of Tufa (Warning) that
sold to John McCormack for $200,000. Ben Walden of Gracefield had
this to say about the Tufa colt, “He’s a lovely horse. He’s got a
beautiful, big, strong back and he’s a wonderful mover. He’s got a
great attitude.”
There are 51 yearlings by Aptitude in the upcoming Keeneland
September Sales including some very strong individuals with
impressive female families.
Aptitude won the Gr.1 Jockey Club Gold Cup and placed in both the
Gr.1 Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes.
