THE RACE IS ON.......
In the February 5th edition of the Thoroughbred
Times, several industry experts were asked to pick their choices
for leading freshman sire of 2005. Christopher “Kip” Elser is a
highly successful two-year-old consignor from his base in Camden,
South Carolina, selling such horses as Smoke Glacken, Alphabet
Soup, Sharp Cat, and Keeper Hill.
He had this to say about his number 2 selection, Aptitude.
“Surprisingly enough, the Aptitudes look much more precocious than
I expected. I have two and they weren’t expensive yearlings, but
they’re both really nice horses, and they’ve really surprised me
how forward they are in their training already.”
Aptitude, a Gr.1 winner by A.P. Indy, stands for
$20,000.
