ECLIPSE AWARDS FINALISTS

DANSILI’s family features prominently amongst the Eclipse award finalists.  The awards ceremony will be held on the 23rd January.

His full sister INTERCONTINENTAL has been nominated for the Female Turf Horse of the year.  This is the title that another full-sister BANKS HILL won in 2001. 

The Thoroughbred Daily News states on the 6th January; “It is hard to look past Intercontinental (GB) (Danehill), as her five graded stakes victories in 2005 were highlighted by a win in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (beating Ouija Board)”

LEROIDESANIMAUX (BRZ) has been nominated for the Male Turf Horse of the year. Out of a half-sister to Dansili’s dam Hasili, Leroidesanimaux had three straight graded wins before running second in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Mile.

DANSILI, with his first third crop of two-year-olds to run in 2006, was crowned the leading second crop sire by winners in 2005; this included 10 blacktype performers (including six blacktype two-year-olds).
