DUBAI TRIP PROVES WORTHWHILE FOR DALI
Dont Dili Dali stormed home to land the Listed
Masaka Stakes at Kempton Park yesterday. Song of Silence
(Unbridled’s Song) made much of the running, sprinting clear in the
straight, but Dont Dili Dali, fit from her exploits in the UAE,
which yielded a third in their Oaks, quickly made up ground to
catch her in the closing stages, running on well to win by two
lengths.
The three-year-old daughter of Juddmonte’s Banstead Manor-based
Dansili (Danehill) was bred by G Russell and bought by trainer Stan
Moore for 7,500gns at Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Part Two.
Her dam Miss Meltemi (Miswaki Tern) was third in the Gr.1 Oaks
d’Italia, while her grandam Blu Meltemi (Star Shareef) went one
better, finishing second in the Italian Classic.
DANSILI has five
colts at Doncaster’s Breeze-Up Sales and four at
Tattersalls.
