Dan Peitz, trainer of Steppenwolfer believes
the 10 furlongs of the Kentucky Derby will suit his colt perfectly.
On his latest start he was second to Lawyer Ron in the Arkansas
Derby over a furlong shorter, but was doing all his best work
at the end. " I have thought all spring long, the further the
better," said Peitz. " A mile and a quarter should be better than a
mile."
