BLUE BLOODED ARRIVALS BY EMPIRE MAKER FOR
JUDDMONTE
Juddmonte Farms’ homebred Champs Elysees
(Danehill) got onto the winner’s board at Longchamp
yesterday, to follow in the hoofsteps of some illustrious siblings.
He is the sixth foal of one of Juddmonte’s best broodmares, Hasili,
making him a full-brother to Gr.1 winners Banks Hill and
Intercontinental and Gr.2 winners Dansili and Cacique, plus a
three-parts brother to Gr.1 winner Heat Haze.
The family has produced some blue-blooded foals this spring,
notably Banks Hill and Heat Haze, who
each have a filly by Juddmonte’s Gr.1 Belmont Stakes, Florida Derby
and Wood Memorial winner Empire Maker (Unbridled). Banks Hill, who
also has two-year old and yearling Kingmambo colts, is visiting
Storm Cat in 2006, while Heat Haze returns to Empire Maker, as does
paddocks newcomer Intercontinental.
Juddmonte’s Gr.1-winning half-sisters Tates Creek and Sightseek
have also supported Empire Maker, the former has a yearling filly
from his first crop, and the latter a daughter from his second.
Empire Maker’s own dam Toussaud, who has also produced fellow Gr.1
winners Chester House, Honest Lady and Chiselling, has recently
produced her tenth foal and fifth daughter, a filly by A P
Indy.
