EMPIRE MAKER LEADING FIRST CROP SALES SIRE
EMPIRE MAKER has
certainly set the sales ring on fire this yearling sales season,
and has done so in such a fashion that he has established himself
as leading First-Crop Sire (by sales average and by median) with an
overall average of $379,125.
With yearlings selling for as much as $1.6 million, $1.45
million, $800,000, $775,000, etc… it is clear that
EMPIRE MAKER is
stamping his progeny with the same classic good looks and
athleticism that he possesses. And it’s not only in the
sales ring that EMPIRE
MAKER is generating fire, but in the breeding
shed as well. The Blood Horse’s Market Watch reports
that in 2005 EMPIRE
MAKER ranked first in his sire class in
regards to quality of mares bred with a CI of 5.72. and for
2006 is ranked 2nd. This indicating that the crops
EMPIRE
MAKER has on the ground are out of
exceptional mares. An exceptional stallion bred to
exceptional mares every season he has stood at stud….sounds
like a powerful combination.
With the large contingent of EMPIRE MAKER yearlings from
several high profile owner/breeder operations, the aforementioned
sales ring stars, and Juddmonte’s homebred EMPIRE MAKER yearlings in
the wings, he is certain to be well-represented in the years
to come, as these exceptional individuals head for the
races!
