The decision by the stewards at Longchamp to demote Price Tag
from victory in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches deprived her sire
Dansili of his first Group 1 winner, not to mention that it
was in a classic. A high-class miler himself, Dansili did not win
at Group 1 level but he was unlucky in running third in a
Breeders' Cup Mile and has now shown himself capable of siring
runners capable of winning at the highest level.
Price Tag apart, Dansili has 2006 Stakes winners Home Affairs
and Dont Dili Dali from a total of 12 stakes horses from his first
three crops to race. Native Dancer or Alleged feature in the
pedigrees of his four stakeswinners, Price Tag being out of a
daughter of Affirmed with her granddam by Alleged.
