LONGCHAMP FOUR TIMER FOR JUDDMONTE
Juddmonte Farms, the sponsors of the Gr.1 Grand
Prix de Paris at Longchamp, took five homebred runners to the track
and returned with four victories. Kalanisi’s daughter Enforcer
proved the best of their two entries in the opener, a one mile
conditions race for three-year-old fillies, and Village Fete, a
Singspiel half-sister to Trade Fair, took the fourth race, the
Listed Prix de Thiberville over 12 furlongs.
The fifth race, the Gr.2 Prix Maurice de Nieuil over 14 furlongs,
went to Bellamy Cay, a lightly-raced son of Kris from the family of
Beat Hollow and
Oasis Dream, who beat
Montjeu’s daughter Montare by a
comfortable length and a half. The four-year-old has now won six
races from 10 starts including the Gr.3 Prix d’Hedouville over the
same course in May.
The main race of the day was the sixth, the big summer 12 furlong
event for three-year-olds which was
won by Juddmonte’s Rail Link. The son of Dansili completed his hat-trick after
smoothly passing the
leader Red Rocks (Galileo) over a furlong out and coasting home by
two lengths. He was the second Group winner in two days for
Dansili, who is also
responsible for Thursday’s impressive Gr.2 July Stakes winner
Strategic Prince.
