RAIL LINK HAILED AS HORSE OF THE YEAR
Article taken from the EBN

The Sunday card attracted well known but less familiar faces at
Auteuil, with the likes of Andre Fabre, Nicolas Clement and Lord
Grimthorpe amongst others who were present for the Horses of the
Year Awards, presented by Course et Elevage. The magazine Course et
Elevage has organised the election of the Horse of The Year since
1979 through votes of a panel of journalists and in 1984 the first
NH Horse of The Year was introduced. Like last year, the
presentation was held at Auteuil racecourse and the ceremony took
place after the second race on the card, the Prix du Cheval de
l’Annee – Course et Elevage.
The nominations for the Best Three-Year-Old Male were Rail Link
(DANSILI – Docklands), Stormy River,
and Best Name, and it was last year’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe
Lucien Barriere hero Rail Link who won the award. Rail Link
was voted Horse of the Year in France.
