CLASSIC PREPARATIONS AT LONGCHAMP

The Prix de la Grotte successful in producing the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches winner, as six fillies have registered the double in the last twenty editions. Honours this year went to Princess Zahra Aga Khan’s Darjina (ZAMINDAR), trained by Alain de Royer Dupré, on only the second outing of her career. Jockey Christophe Soumillon was impressed and he remarked, “She is 10kg better than Daltaya [last year’s winner] so that should make her a good prospect for Group One events this year. I think that she is out of the ordinary.” The Poules d’Essai des Poulains and des Pouliches will be held at Longchamp on Sunday 13th May.
