Later in the day Ferguson saw off Marc-Antoine Berghgracht and Tom Goff before signing at €670,000 for an OASIS DREAM filly (Lot 55), also from the Mézeray. She received an important update earlier in the month, as her full-brother Naaqoos was a good winner on his debut,
taking the highly-regarded Prix Tancarville at Deauville.
Naaqoos (OASIS DREAM) could well provide a further boost next weekend, as he is set to line up in the Gr.1 Prix Morny for in-form trainer Freddy Head. Half-brother Barastraight is a Gr.3 winner and Gr.2-placed in France and, as Ferguson said, “this is an outstanding Weinstock family.” The second dam Gay Hellene (Ela-Mana-Mou) won the Gr.3 Prix de Flore and among her eight winning offspring are American Listed scorer Nash Terrace and the dam of Gr.3 winners Greek Renaissance and Side Saddle. Her third dam Gaily (Sir Gaylord) won the 1,000 Guineas and was second in the Irish Oaks. She is also the fourth dam of the Champions Pilsudski and Fine Motion.
