Taken from the EBN
Taameer (BEAT HOLLOW) took the lead inside the final furlong and ran on well to win in eye catching fashion on his debut. This is a race which is often targeted by his trainer Marcus Tregoning, who won it with Nayef.
He is a half-brother to the dual Listed winner Expensive (Royal Applause) and is the eleventh foal of his dam Vayavaig (Damister). She won at two and is a half-sister to the Gr.3 Palace House Stakes winner ands sire Vaigly Great (Great Nephew) and the Gr.1 July Cup-second Vaigly Star (Star Appeal; dam of the Gr.3 Greenham Stakes winner Yalaietanee and the Gr.3 Molecomb Stakes winner Sahara Star and grandam of the dual Group winner Land of Dreams). The second dam Dervaig (Derring-Do) won fifteen times, including the Listed Texaco Plate.
