Stern Opinion (by MIZZEN MAST) has raced exclusively at Group 3 level since bagging a debut win at Deauville last July, and lined up here off a fourth in the Prix de Saint-Georges at Longchamp on seasonal bow May 11. Stalking the front rank in fourth after the opening skirmishes, he was pushed along at halfway and kept on strongly under a sympathetic drive in the closing stages to nail British raider Masta Plasta on the line winning Prix Hampton L. at Chantilly.
