WINGWALKER'S STAR PERFORMANCE
Article taken from The Racing Post
It was hard not to be impressed by the Henry Cecil-trained Wingwalker (DANSILI) who clinched the 7f Maiden in a style that suggests he is going to come on a bundle for the experience.
Wingwalker strode straight into the Stan James, 2,000 Guineas betting after making an eye-catching winning debut in the two-year-old Maiden at Newmarket. The Dansili colt gave trainer Henry Cecil his second juvenile winner (On Our Way by OASIS DREAM struck at Sandown on Thursday night) in-side 24 hours when justifying 9-4 favouritism.
Wingwalker, a Khalid Abdullah home-bred, he showed signs of inexperience but still emerged victorious from a battle with another promising newcomer, Delegator also by DANSILI.
No doubt the experience will have done him the world of good and Paddy Power were sufficiently impressed to introduce him at 33-1 for next year’s Stan James 2,000 Guineas.
