JUDDMONTE STALLION PROGENY LIGHTING UP THE BOARD WITH STAKES HORSES

Over the past three days, Juddmonte Sires EMPIRE MAKER and MIZZEN MAST have seen a total of 6 of their offspring placed in stakes races. Leading the way was 2009 Derby hopeful Pioneerof the Nile (EMPIRE MAKER) who rallied home first in the Santa Anita Derby Gr.1.

This colt has gone from strength to strength (his 4^th stakes win and 2^nd Gr.1 win) and is well positioned coming to Kentucky as the leading west coast contender for the Run for the Roses.  On Monday, MIZZEN MAST’s 4 year old gelding Putney Bridge posted a stylish win in the Prix Jacques Laffitte LR – the first stakes win for this already Gr.1 placed individual.

Additional stakes placings for EMPIRE MAKER and MIZZEN MAST over the weekend came from Acoma’s (EMPIRE MAKER) 3^rd place finish in the Apple Blossom Gr.1, Madeo’s (MIZZEN MAST) 3^rd place finish in the Arcadia Handicap Gr.2, Barrier Reef’s (MIZZEN MAST) 3^rd place finish in the Excelsior Gr.3, as well as a 2^nd place stakes finish from MIZZEN MAST filly On My Dime. From producing stars on the dirt, all weather, or turf, it looks like EMPIRE MAKER and MIZZEN MAST have got all bases covered!
