CHAMPION RACEMARE WEMYSS BIGHT

Juddmonte Farms recently suffered a sad loss when their Irish Oaks winner and Champion racehorse Wemyss Bight died from complications following foaling. The daughter of Dancing Brave was as accomplished in the paddocks as on the racetrack, producing the triple Group/Grade One winner and successful stallion Beat Hollow (by Sadler’s Wells), as well as the Grade Three winner Yaralino (by Caerleon). Wemyss Bight came from one of Juddmonte’s most successful families – her full/half-sisters have produced the Group winners Oasis Dream, Zenda, Reefscape, Coastal Path, Martaline and Bellamy Cay in recent years. Hopefully there will be more success in the future as Wemyss Bight has a three-year-old sister to Beat Hollow called Wemyss Bay in training with Henry Cecil and a yearling colt by Dalakhani.
