THRILLING GR.3 VICTORY FOR ACOMA

Acoma (EMPIRE MAKER) added another one to her trophy case with a thrilling victory in the Gr.3 Cardinal Hill Stakes.

Two-for-two over the Churchill lawn with wins in the 2008 Gr.2 Mrs. Revere Stakes and the Gr.3 Early Times Mint Julep Handicap in June, the bay failed to land a blow in her last two efforts when sixth in the Gr.2 Delaware Handicap on July 19 and ninth in Keeneland’s Gr.1 First Lady Stakes on Oct. 10.

Settled in seventh after breaking in the air, Acoma (EMPIRE MAKER) came with a sustained rally on the outside in the stretch to secure a game decision. She will remain in training in 2010.
