ICON PROJECT PROVES HER METTLE ON DIRT

Graded stakes winner Icon Project (EMPIRE MAKER) has again proven her mettle on the dirt, finishing second in the $1,000,000 Delaware Handicap Gr.2 on Sunday, July 19th.  Tried on dirt for the first time last out when the New York Stakes Gr.3 was moved off the turf, the 4 year old filly gobbled up the competition, relishing the slop.  She has shown here that it was no fluke and looks to be a strong contender for upcoming challenges.

On a similar note, MIZZEN MAST’s stakes winner and Gr. 1 placed Putney Bridge made his presence known in Europe when being placed in the Prix Messidor Gr.3 at Maisons-Laffitte on Saturday.  In his first outing since May, the Criquette Head-Maarek conditioned 4 year old continues to show that he is right at home in Group company.
