RAINBOW QUEST CONTINUES TO INFLUENCE 2009 CLASSICS

Although Delegator was undone by the heavy ground at the Curragh, DANSILI still had plenty of good results over the weekend.
Famous Name was second to his stable mate Casual Conquest in the Tattersalls Gold Cup Gr1.
Incidentally Casual Conquest’s dam is in foal to DANSILI.

Famous Name has now won or been placed in eight blacktype races, including an unlucky defeat in last year’s Prix du Jockey-Club. His dam is now back in foal to DANSILI, and also has a ZAMINDAR 2yo colt in training with Dermot Weld and a ZAMINDAR yearling filly.  

DANSILI'S son Father Time also ran a good race in the Listed Fairway Stakes at Newmarket, only just failing to get up in the ten furlong contest.

RAINBOW QUEST'S influence on the 2009 classics continued when he was responsible, as a broodmare sire, for the Irish 2000 Guineas runner up Rayeni.
He also looks to have a potential Royal Ascot candidate in the shape of his son Dhushan, who built on an eyecatching debut run in a very hot maiden race at Newbury to demolish the opposition at Chepstow on Bank Holiday Monday.

There was also Juddmonte influence further a field as OBSERVATORY'S talented Italian daughter Piperita ran third in a Listed race in Milan, while the Juddmonte bred Polzeath won the Listed East Coast Handicap at Clairwood, South Africa. The mare was sold for 12,000gns at the 2005 Tattersalls December Sales and has now registered seven career wins.
