CLASSIC WINNER FOR ZAMINDAR
Article taken from the EBN
Rabbit Zamindar (ZAMINDAR) has been a good bargain for her owner Rabbit Trhovy Stepanov. He bought her as a yearling at Tattersalls for 4,500gns – the filly has earned more than 26,000gns and is now a Classic winner. The LRd Oaks (Czech Republic) was marred by the fall of the favourite Princess of Gracie, but Rabbit Zamindar showed a strong turn of foot to win easily by nearly four lengths.
The daughter of ZAMINDAR is out of the Elmaamul mare Stay Behind, who won twice over ten furlongs and finished second in the Listed Golden Daffodil Stakes over the same trip.
Rabbit Zamindar is from a superb family, her grandam I Will Lead (Seattle Slew) is a half-sister to RAINBOW QUEST, and her third dam I Will Follow (Herbager) is a half-sister to Slightly Dangerous (the dam of Gr.1 winners Warning, Commander in Chief and Yashmak, and Group-winning sire Dushyantor). This is also the same family as Gr.1 winner and leading Australian sire Scenic.
