NOTABLE MAIDEN WINNER FOR EMPIRE MAKER
Article taken from Thoroughbred Times Today
Clear Sailing (EMPIRE MAKER) returned from a layoff of more than 18 months with a dominant victory under Shane Sellers in a Maiden at Fair Grounds.
The bay filly by EMPIRE MAKER had not raced since finishing third in her career debut in June 2008 at Churchill Downs.
Clear Sailing is one of two winners from as many starters out of the winning Old Trieste mare Steady Course, a half sister to Grade 2 winner and sire Jump Start. Group 1 winner and sire Miswaki is a notable member of the family.
