STRAWBERRYDAIQUIRI CONTINUES TO PROGRESS
DANISLI’S fast improving Strawberrydaiquiri continued to show improvement in the EBF Transformers and Rectifiers Valiant Stakes (L) at Ascot this afternoon. Strawberrydaiquiri broke well and settled just off the pace. She travelled smoothly throughout and when asked to go about her business picked up nicely for Jockey Ryan Moore for a rather cosy 1 length success.
This was her 2nd straight listed success for the DANSILI three year old filly that is showing continued improvement in the hands of Sir Michael Stoute for her connections Mrs J R Jacobs and her breeder Newsells Park Stud Limited.
Gary Coffey, racing manager for winning owner Renata Jacobs, said: "She was given a very positive ride by Ryan, and found a bit more when the runner-up came to her.
"A Group 3 would be the logical next step so we'll see what Sir Michael says - it's his decision where she goes next. She's a very progressive filly and is in terrific hands."
It was nearly a listed double in consecutive days for DANSILI as his 4 year old son Porgy (Sadler’s Wells) was beaten half a length in the Prix Jacques de Bremond (L) at Vichy yesterday. Porgy has only raced 5 times and will hopefully continue to improve throughout the season.
