RAIN DELAYED STAYS ON FOR CORK LISTED SUCCESS

The four-year-old Rain Delayed put up a brave performance to land the Listed Cork Stakes. The son of OASIS DREAM took the lead inside the final furlong and stayed on well to win by a head.
Owned and bred by Anamoine, he was bought for €50,000 by BBA Ireland at Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, who were also responsible for selling the second Miss Gorica (Mull of Kintyre).
Twice Listed-placed in the past, this was his first win at Stakes level. He is the first foal of his dam Forever Phoenix (Shareef Dancer), who was Listed-placed three times and comes from the family of the Gr.3 Supreme Stakes winner Late Night Out (Lahib).
