JUDDMONTE STALLIONS START SEASON WITH A FLOURISH
Lord Zenith, a 3 year old colt by ZAMINDAR, won the Blue Square International Trial Stakes (Listed Race) at Kempton on Saturday in fine style.
The Racing Post quoted: 'Lord Zenith travelled particularly well behind the leaders and when asked to go through the gap on the inside entering the final furlong, he quickened smartly'.
Described as 'still green and raw' by his trainer, he should have learned from this and, provided the ground is fast, he may take his chance in the Guineas.
Other notable performances by progeny of Juddmonte stallions included Keradari (by OASIS DREAM), a 4 length winner of the Loughbrown Stakes (Listed Race) at the Curragh, defeating Gr.1 winner Alfred Nobel. John Oxx said afterwards, “If I have any that are going to shake them up a bit this year, he’s the one. He’ll run in the Irish 2,000 Guineas now”.
Lovisa Beat (by BEAT HOLLOW) finished a good third in the Premio Seregno (Listed Race) at Milan, while the DANSILI three-year-olds Disclose and Ice Blue have both been named Jour De Galop Rising Stars after impressive victories at Saint-Cloud and Longchamp respectively.
