SUN CLASSIQUE, who took the 2008 Sheema Classic for trainer Mike De Kock, stole the show when entering the ring on day three of the Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare, though she failed to reach her reserve, selling outside the ring for A$2 million (£1,111,111/€1,255,556) to Patinack Farm.
The six-year-old Fuji Kiseki mare was also a triple Grade 1 winner in South Africa, and her dam Elfenjer was sold at this very sale in 2003 - carrying Sun Classique - for A$32,500 (£18,056/€20,403). She is in foal to OASIS DREAM.
