A purple patch for Juddmonte stallion DANSILI, which started on Saturday when his son Harbinger won the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Stakes at Newbury, continued through to Monday with a new black-type winner and an impressive maiden scorer.
On Sunday DANSILI was represented by exciting maiden winner Zoffany plus two Listed winners – Famous Name in the Heritage Stakes and Abaton in the Premio Natale di Roma.
He got another Listed winner on the board on Monday with Foreteller gaining his first black type by winning the Prix de Suresnes over 1m1f at Maisons-Laffitte.
Three-year-old colt Foreteller is trained by David Smaga for owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah. He is the 11th foal out of the Warning mare Prophecy, a fine servant for Abdullah's Juddmonte operation.
Prophecy's second foal, Arabesque, by Zafonic, was a Listed winner at three and has replicated her dam's success at stud, producing last year's Gimcrack Stakes winner Showcasing, Listed-placed sprinter Bouvardia and Listed winner Camacho, who stands at Morristown Lattin Stud and is the sire of Saturday's Dubai Duty Free Stakes winner Puff.
Another of Prophecy's daughters, Modern Look, by ZAMINDAR, won the Group 3 Prix Miesque.
Meanwhile, at Pontefract another three-year-old son of DANSILI carried Abdullah's colours to an easy three-and-a-half length win in the 6f maiden on his debut.
Bated Breath is the third foal out of the Distant View mare Tantina. His two older half-siblings both possess black type, four-year-old Cityscape having finished placed in the Royal Lodge Stakes and Greenham Stakes, and five-year-old Scuffle having finished third in the Listed Snowdrop Fillies' Stakes.
