Full Steam, who is out of a listed-placed full-sister to Zafonic and ZAMINDAR, ran second in her only juvenile start at Maisons-Laffitte last September and belied her relative inexperience against more seasoned opponents to register an impressive win in this seasonal return.

Juddmonte Farms’ homebred bay was let go at odds of 23-5 and settled into an immediate rhythm behind the leaders in sixth. Cruising into contention on the outside once into the stretch run, she was set alight passing the two pole and surged clear of toiling rivals, requiring minimal assistance from Maxime Guyon to comprehensively outclass Thai Haku (OASIS DREAM) by three lengths. Our Georgia (Pulpit), a half-sister to US Ranger (Danzig), raced in second until leading briefly in midstretch, but she was unable to match Full Steam’s decisive burst and finished fourth.
