A WINNING WEEKEND FOR JUDDMONTE STALLIONS
Juddmonte Stallions had plenty of reason to celebrate over the weekend with three new stakes winners and another winner for THREE VALLEYS.
Vagabond Shoes, by BEAT HOLLOW, got the ball rolling in the Prix Messidor Gr.3 at Maisons-Laffitte. The four-year-old had put up a good performance behind Byword in the Prix du Chemin de Fer du Nord Gr.3 last time and he built on that effort to make all here, holding on gamely to deny Gr.1 winner Biondetti.
Next up was OASIS DREAM'S son Dux Scholar, who beat a field of older rivals in the Listed Steventon Stakes at Newbury. Dux Scholar had been a model of consistency as a two-year-old, including when beaten a nose in the Horris Hill Stakes Gr.3, and he now looks a force to be reckoned with at ten furlongs as a three-year-old.
Fire Lily completed the treble when running away with the Anglesey Stakes Gr.3 at the Curragh, continuing DANSILI'S tremendous run. The filly had been a fast-finishing fourth in the Queen Mary Stakes at Ascot on her previous start, and she seemed to really appreciate the step up to six furlongs here.
Molly Jones’s game victory in the Crowhurst Nursery at Lingfield provided THREE VALLEYS with his fifth winner.
