MIZDIRECTION FIRES AGAIN
by Ercel Ellis
Mizdirection ran a heck of a race in the Grade 2 San Clemente Stakes at Santa Anita last Sunday. Making just her fourth career start and breaking from the outside, she sprinted to the front and stayed there until deep in the stretch to finish a game second. You'll be hearing more from Mizdirection because she's by MIZZEN MAST. Mizdirection broke her maiden by 11 lengths on May 11th at Hollywood Park, six furlongs in 1:08 and 2...came back to finish second, beaten a closing length after a rough trip in the Manhattan Beach Stakes on July 11, then the Grade 2 San Clemente. Never worse than second she has demonstrated the versatility which is the hallmark of the MIZZEN MASTs, performing with courage on dirt and grass.
