MORE SUCCESS FOR RAIL LINK
RAIL LINK’s first three-year-old runners continue to show talent, with his three runners yesterday (7th June) posting two wins and a close second between them.
The stallion has now been responsible for 13 individual winners of 21 races so far this season.
On Thursday, Bit By Bit won her second race this season with a victory in the €24,000 Prix Henry Dewey at Saint-Cloud, whilst Signed Up broke his maiden second time out with a win in the EBF Maiden Stakes over 10 furlongs at Sandown, beating the favourite Nabucco – by RAIL LINK’s own sire DANSILI – into second.
Taken from European Bloodstock News 8/6/12:
Signed Up (RAIL LINK), who had shown considerable promise on his debut fourth at Newmarket last month, showed plenty of resolution to see off the persistent challenge of the joint-favourite Nabucco (DANSILI). The winner’s dam, Sing for Fame (Quest For Fame), is out of Singing (The Minstrel), a winning half-sister to the Gr.2 (then) Prince Of Wales’s Stakes winner and sire Two Timing (Blushing Groom); the latter’s grandam, Miss Carmie (T V Lark) produced the USA Champion Three-Year-Old Filly Chris Evert (Swoon’s Son), winner of ten races, including the Gr.1 Acorn Stakes, the Gr.1 American Oaks and the Gr.1 Mother Goose Stakes, and is the third dam of the Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile victor and subsequent Gr.1 sire Chief’s Crown (Danzig), from the family of the Gr.1 winners Sightseek, Tates Creek, Etoile Montante, Special Duty, Winning Colors et al.
