BRED TO BE A CHAMPION

CHAMPS ELYSEES' first crop of yearlings will be on show at the sales this year. Given his looks, his pedigree and his performances on the track, CHAMPS ELYSEES certainly has what it takes to succeed as a stallion:

The looks

“Robust, strong and handsome. Very much in the Danehill mould”
(Lord Grimthorpe’s report on Champs Elysees in July of his 2yo season)

DANEHILL                                                                       CHAMPS ELYEES

The pedigree

By champion sire Danehill out of the blue hen mare Hasili, whose progeny have won or been placed in 51 Gr.1 races between them.

A full brother to champion sire DANSILI - the leading British-based sire by Gr.1 winners in 2012 – and to Cacique, sire of 21% blacktype performers to foals including Gr.1 winner Mutual Trust.

The performance

A tough performer and triple Gr.1 winner, voted Canadian Horse of the Year and Champion Older Horse.

The potential

Popular with breeders, covering over 300 mares in his first three seasons at stud.

Outstanding first crop of foals achieved a UK sales average of 36,000 guineas, with a highest price of 165,000 guineas.

His two-year-old crop of 2013 will include half-siblings to Gr.1 winners Powerscourt, Mutual Trust and Scintillo as well as to multiple Group winners Lolly For Dolly and Famous Name. Half siblings to Dandino, Diamond Diva and German Oaks winner Almerita will follow in 2014.
