LAST TRAIN SECOND IN GRAND PRIX DE PARIS
Last Train very nearly became a first-crop Gr.1 winner for RAIL LINK on Saturday (14th July) after an impressive run that saw the three-year-old finish second by a head to Imperial Monarch in the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp.
The beautifully-bred bred colt – who is a half-brother to Kind, the dam of Frankel - was having only his fourth race, and his first outing at stakes level, for trainer Andre Fabre, and becomes the fifth blacktype performer for RAIL LINK - who won the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris Gr.1 himself in 2006 on his way to victory in the Prix Niel Gr.2 and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe Gr.1.
Earlier in the day, dual winner Bit By Bit – also by RAIL LINK – ran an encouraging third on her stakes debut in the Prix de Thiberville L.
Elsewhere, Speedy Martin became RAIL LINK's latest winner, with a victory in the €15,000 Prix de Dol.
