SON OF FIRST DEFENCE NOW STAKES PLACED

SMOKININDABOYSROOM (FIRST DEFENCE) made a valiant effort in his stakes debut and first start of 2013 to finish second in the Turfway Prevue Stakes on Saturday, 5th January. 

A maiden winner by 3 3/4 lengths over the same course on 1st December, 2012, a return to action, this time in stakes company, was to be expected.

In his most recent effort , he settled just off the pace early on racing keenly only to be passed in the stretch by the eventual winner.
