KEENELAND TWO YEAR OLD WINNER FOR MIZZEN MAST

Taken from the Thoroughbred Daily News

Green Mask (MIZZEN MAST) took the bulk of late action down to 2-1 and soon showed why.  Hard-held by rider Kent Desormeaux to press the pace, the dark bay was a handful on the turn as he clearly wanted to do more.  He enjoyed a narrow advantage entering the straight, and required no urging whatsoever to open up on his competition and glide home 5 1/4 lengths to the good.  Longshot fellow firster Clovelly (Pleasantly Perfect) completed the exacta.  The winner, a $37,000 FTOCT yearling turned $150,000 OBSAPR juvenile after breezing a furlong in :10 1/5, is out of a half-sister to MGSW Masseuse (Dynaformer).
