DANSILI LEADING SIRE AT ROYAL ASCOT FOR SECOND YEAR RUNNING
For the second consecutive year, DANSILI has finished top of the sire standings at Royal Ascot, with three winners, two runners-up and two third placings to his name.
The sadly ill-fated Thomas Chippendale and the admirably tough Dandino gave DANSILI a one-two in the Hardwicke Stakes Gr.2 on Saturday (22nd June), while Stencive boosted his sire's standing further when second to Opinion (OASIS DREAM) in the Duke of Edinburgh Handicap.
DANSILI enjoyed a winning double earlier in the week with Riposte in the Ribblesdale Stakes Gr.2 and Remote in the Tercentenary Stakes Gr.3. The Fugue was placed third in the Prince of Wales's Stakes Gr.1 and Dank was third in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes Gr.3.
Fellow Juddmonte stallion OASIS DREAM also enoyed another excellent Royal meeting, with five placed horses highlighted by Gale Force Ten in the Jersey Stakes Gr.3 - his sire's third winner of that race in the last six years - and the exciting two-year-old Coach House's second in the Norfolk Stakes Gr.2. FRANKEL's half-sister Joyeuse (OASIS DREAM) meanwhile was an encouraging third in the Albany Stakes Gr.3 on only her second start to date.
Both sires have shown remarkable consistency at Royal Ascot in recent years. DANSILI was the leading sire by prize money at the meeting in 2012.
