WIN FOR MISS FRANCE IN OH SO SHARP STAKES
Miss France became the 36th individual stakes performer this season for her sire DANSILI, after victory in the Oh So Sharp Stakes Gr.3 at Newmarket.
Despite still looking green, the lightly raced filly ran out the winner under a hands-and-heels ride from jockey Mickael Barzalona.
"We always liked the filly a lot," said Anthony Stroud, spokesman for Ballymore Thoroughbreds, owner of Miss France.
"The reason we came here rather than running in Paris was we thought she would be suited by a stronger pace and better ground.
"I think she will come back for the 1,000 Guineas but it is up to Diane [Wildenstein] and Andre. I am sure he will tell us where we are going. She has all the talent and is an extremely nice filly."
She is the latest in a long line of stakes winners for DANSILI – who boasts 11% lifetime stakes winners to runners – this year.
DANSILI is also the leading Northern Hemisphere sire by Gr.1 winners worldwide in 2013 (with six individuals to his name).
