LAUGHING WINS THE DIANA STAKES

DANSILI is in flying form once again this season, and on Saturday achieved his 14th Gr.1 winner - his third of 2013 - when Laughing won the Diana Stakes at Saratoga.

The race marked a Grade 1 1-2 for DANSILI, with Dream Peace second to Laughing by a head.

A 275,000 guinea yearling, Laughing was bred by Floors Farming and the Duke of Devonshire. She raced first in Ireland for trainer Charles O'Brien, where she won the Nijinsky Stakes L., before being sent to race in the USA. Now trained by Alan Goldberg for owner Richard Santulli, Laughing has won four of her nine starts in the US.

Elsewhere over the weekend, DANSILI notched up another new Gr.1 performer when the Andre Fabre-trained Opposite was second in the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis at Munich in Germany. The Juddmonte stallion is currently the joint leading sire in the Northern Hemisphere by black type winners worldwide in 2013.
