XCELLENCE WINS THE GROUP 3 PRIX IMPRUDENCE

Xcellence - from the first crop of CHAMPS ELYSEES - made her 2014 debut in style when winning the hotly contested Prix Imprudence Gr.3 at Maisons-Laffitte on Thursday (3rd April).

Talk before the race was of 1000 Guineas favourites Vorda and Miss France, but it was Xcellence who stepped up to win this 7-furlong Classic trial.

The Francois Doumen-trained filly was one of 13 first-crop two-year-old winners for CHAMPS ELYSEES last season. She was last seen finishing second (beaten only a short head) in the Prix Miesque Gr.3 in November.
