EMINENT WINS THE CRAVEN

FRANKEL has a leading contender for the 2000 Guineas after his son Eminent won a high-class renewal of the Craven Stakes, beating Racing Post Trophy Gr.1 winner Rivet in the process.

Eminent - purchased as a Tattersalls Book 1 yearling for 150,000gns - won on his only start as a two-year-old last year and is now unbeaten in two races. Jockey Jim Crowley struggled to pull him up after the Craven, saying: "It's never taken me to long to pull a horse up after a race!"

Trainer Martin Meade told Racing UK: "He had the most wonderful trial that I could possibly have expected. I'm really, really thrilled with him... This horse could take a lot of beating now."

Eminent is the seventh individual Group winner to emerge to date from FRANKEL's first crop.
