TWO WINNERS IN THREE DAYS FOR CHAMPS ELYSEES
Elysian Prince was first to strike when winning a Lingfield maiden for his owner/breeder Mr D S Lee by 4½ lengths on Tuesday.
The Paul Cole two-year-old showed much improvement from his debut at Goodwood in August, to win the race decisively. His rider David Probert reported in the Racing Post “…he got a bit stuck in the mud at Goodwood but his work since then has been good…”
Elysian Prince is the second foal of American bred filly Trinkila, herself a winner and the half-sister to Gr.3 winner Osidy.
The second winner for CHAMPS ELYSEES came when Lustrous, trained by Richard Hannon, won the EBF & Sam Sheppard Quidhampton Maiden Fillies Stakes (DivII) at Salisbury on Thursday.
This debut showed great promise and as a half-sister to Gr.3 winner Melody of Love she looks sure to progress for her owner/breeder Mrs Poilin Good.
