Three-time Grade 1 and Classic winner Empire Maker is passing on his considerable class to his offspring. He is the Sire of a Grade 1 winner in each of his two crops to race, namely Eclipse Finalist and Multiple Grade 1 winner Country Star, who set a Stakes and Track Record in the Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet, and Classic Contender Pioneerof the Nile, who won the $750,000 Grade 1 CashCall Futurity, as well as six individual First-Crop Stakes winners including Grade 2 winner Mushka who sold as a yearling to the 2006 Saratoga Sale as the Sales Topper for $1,600,000 and was then re-offered at the 2008 Keeneland November Sale, where she sold for $2,400,000 as the Day 2 Session Topper and the third highest-priced filly/mare of the sale.

Unbridled’s Song’s fastest Grade 1 - winning son First Defence displayed the precocity, brilliance, and versatility which lives within his exceptional and diverse pedigree. At 2, he broke his maiden by 8 1/4 lengths at Belmont. At 3, won the Long Branch Stakes at Monmouth going two turns in his Stakes debut and ran a valiant second in the King’s Bishop (Grade 1) at Saratoga. At 4, he won the Jaipur Stakes (Grade 3) on turf and the Grade 1 Forego Stakes by 6 3/4 lengths in 1:21 2/5, after fractions of :44 3/5 and 1:08 2/5. His dam, Grade 1 winner Honest Lady by Seattle Slew, is a half-sister to Chester House, sire of 2 Breeders’ Cup winners and 18 Stakes winners in 2008, as well as promising young sire Empire Maker.

With Stakes Winners in 4 Different Countries, World Class Sire Mizzen Mast is Cozzene’s Successor on the World Stage. Like Cozzene, Mizzen Mast has sired Stakes winners on dirt and turf all over the world, including Japan, France, Italy, and the United States. Mizzen Mast was also rated Third-Crop Sire in 2008, ranking behind only Street Cry and Johannesburg. His 2008 Stakes winners included Grade 1 Hollywood Gold Cup winner Mast Track and Grade 2 Del Mar Derby winner Madeo. In addition, Mizzen Mast’s Two-Year-Olds have enjoyed success in the sales ring in 2008 with horses selling for up to $300,000.
