Sediciosa showed herself a filly still on the upgrade when making it three wins from four starts in the Gr.3 Prix de Royaumont, the first Pattern race on Chantilly’s card (on Sunday 3rd June).

Never far from the pace, she quickened well through a gap a furlong out to score by a length and a quarter from Yellow And Green (Monsun), with the favourite, Mandistana (Azamour), who made the running, back in third, a further one and a half lengths away.

Sediciosa is from the first crop of Juddmonte stallion RAIL LINK, who also sired the Gr.3 Premio Dormello winner Bugie D’Amore last year. Given his race record and pedigree, you would expect his progeny to progress well, as Sediciosa is doing.

Bred by Ponchartrain Stud, she is the best of four winner produced by the Night Shift mare Seditieuse, who won two races and is out of a half-sister to the Champion Three-Year-Old in Japan and successful sire Neo Universe (Sunday Silence) and the Gr.3 Prix du Calvados winner Fairy Path (Irish River), from the family of Street Cry (Machiavellian) and Shamardal (Giant’s Causeway).
