Eurozone became the latest first-crop three-year-old winner for RAIL LINK yesterday (8th May) with a two-length victory in the €24,000 Prix du Musee Carnavalet (7 furlongs) at Longchamp.

The colt, trained by Pascal Bary on behalf of Prince Khalid Abdullah, was making his second racecourse start after running an encouraging fourth on debut at Saint Cloud last month.

RAIL LINK is now the sire of 10 individual three-year-old winners to date.

Taken from European Bloodstock News 9/5/12:

Eurozone (RAIL LINK) finished fourth at Saint-Cloud on his debut and used that experience to win in good fashion. He is a half-brother to the winners Straight Six (Starcraft), and Paint Splash (Beat Hollow). They are out of Questa Nova (Rainbow Quest). Her dam, the unraced Danilova (Lyphard), produced four winners headed by the Gr.2 Debutante Stakes winner Silk And Scarlet (Sadler’s Wells; dam of the Japanese Stakes winner Eishin Apollon) and the seven times Group-placed and Listed winner Danger Over (Warning). The third dam is the Gr.2 Ribblesdale Stakes victrix Ballinderry (Irish River; dam of the Classic winner and sire Sanglamore and the dual Listed winner Opera Score). Ballinderry is a half-sister to the Stakes winners and sires Lydian (Lyphard), Mot D’Or (Rheingold) and Sharpman (Sharpen Up).

Questa Nova has a two-year-old colt named Vernacular (ZAMINDAR).
