Ashdan confirmed himself as a two-year-old to follow when winning his second race today (14th September), a month after his impressive debut victory at Newmarket.

The conditions event, held at Doncaster, is the same race as that won by FRANKEL in 2010, and Ashdan won in fine style, earning himself quotes for next year’s 2000 Guineas and Derby in the process.

Interestingly, Ashdan’s first victory also mirrored FRANKEL's - being in the same maiden won by FRANKEL on his debut.

The John Gosden-trained colt is one of several notable DANSILI two-year-olds to score this season. Others include the likes of Big Break – a full-sister to multiple Group winner Famous Name; Nevis – a runner for Aiden O'Brien in the National Stakes Gr.1 at the Curragh on Saturday (15th September); Sara Lucille - who was also narrowly beaten into second in the Prix Calvados Gr.3 at Deauville last month; Love Magic and Winsili.
