Juddmonte Farms is pleased to announce the 2013 nomination fees for its stallions, including new arrivals FRANKEL and BATED BREATH.

FRANKEL (pictured right), named on Tuesday night as the Cartier Horse of the Year for the second successive season, will stand at a fee of £125,000 (Special Live Foal terms). The fee for BATED BREATH (pictured below), the high class and extremely tough sprinter, will be £8,000 (SLF).

Philip Mitchell, Juddmonte Farms’ general manager at its Banstead Manor Stud, said: “We believe our stallion roster is the best we have been able to offer breeders – and we are very excited with both of our new arrivals.

“The fee for FRANKEL reflects his merits as being perhaps the greatest racehorse we have ever witnessed. He is by Galileo, who is now recognised as the best sire in the world, and out of Kind, a winner of six races (from five to seven furlongs) and herself a daughter of one of the most influential stallions in the history of thoroughbred breeding, Danehill.

BATED BREATH will give breeders the opportunity to use a most genuine sprinter who was placed second in four Gr.1 races. Ironically, his father Dansili started his career at the same fee and he also just failed to win a Gr.1 race. “

DANSILI and OASIS DREAM's respective stallion credentials strengthen with each passing season and both will stand at £80,000 (SLF) in 2013.

Mitchell added: “We have made minor adjustments to the fees of our two major stalwarts DANSILI and OASIS DREAM as we believe both of these world-class sires to be equally successful.

ZAMINDAR's fee remains unaltered at £10,000 (SLF) and he continues to be as reliable as ever with 11 new blacktype performers this year.”

Juddmonte Farms has slightly lowered the fee for two of its stallions. RAIL LINK, winner of the 2006 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, will next year stand at £5,000 (SLF) – as will CHAMPS ELYSEES, who won or was placed in no less than seven Group 1 races.

Mitchell explained: “RAIL LINK has had a slight reduction to reflect the preference for speed. However, with five individual blacktype performers this year, including the runner-up in the Gr.1 Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris and the Gr.2 Italian Derby, his future remains bright.

CHAMPS ELYSEES' first crop of yearlings averaged £17,479 but there is now the inevitable wait until he has his first runners – although our homebreds suggest we can be very bullish in this respect.”
