The David Wachman-trained, Michael Tabor owned three-year-old Fire Lily landed the second stakes victory of her career with a win in the Ballyogan Stakes Gr.3 over six furlongs at Leopardstown yesterday evening (14th June).

Taken from European Bloodstock News 15/06/12:

The result of the Gr.3 Ballyogan Stakes, the other Group race on the Leopardstown card, proved to be a repeat of the Gr.3 Anglesey Stakes last July, with Fire Lily getting the better of After (Danehill Dancer).

The winner, a daughter of DANSILI, took the lead a furlong out and ran on well to land her second Group race comfortably.

Bred by the Beauty Is Truth Syndicate, she is the first foal out of Beauty Is Truth (Pivotal), who won the Gr.2 Prix du Gros-Chene and the Gr.3 Prix d’Arenberg. The winner’s grandam, the Gr.3 Prix du Bois winner Zelding (Warning), is also the dam of Glorious Sight (Singspiel), who was placed in both French fillies’ Classics last season. Other members of this top-class family, include the Gr.1 winners Immortal Verse, Valentine Waltz and the sire Last Tycoon.
