Sarkiyla became the latest Group winner for OASIS DREAM after showing a good turn of foot to win the Prix de Lieurey Gr.3 at Deauville yesterday (15th August).

Taken from European Bloodstock News 16/08/12:

The Gr.3 Prix de Lieurey was won by the Aga Khan homebred Sarkiyla, who just held off the late challenge of Foreign Tune, trained by Carlos Laffon-Parais for her owner/breeder, Wertheimer et Frere.

The victory took Sarkiyla’s record to four wins from five starts and augmented her success in the Listed Prix de Bagatelle at Chantilly last month. She is by OASIS DREAM - who also sired the third home, the Freddy Head-trained Dream Clover - and is the second foal and first black-type performer out of the Rainbow Quest mare Sarlisa, a three-year-old winner who is a half-sister to the Listed-placed chaser Saragann (Danehill), from the family of Gr.2 (then) Lockinge Stakes winner and sire Safawan (Young Generation).
